Excellent- Rating 5/5

James and Sarah made us very welcome. We booked for 1 night, but opted for an extra night. Great location for sightseeing and steeped in history with the Iron Bridge in walking distance. Well worth the visit.

Comfortable and friendly - Rating 5/5

I booked one night only as a birthday celebration with three cousins. It was a very attractive small hotel. My room was super comfortable - roomy, with everything I needed. Fresh milk was provided for my morning tea.Delicious breakfast too and James was very helpful when we needed Information about local attractions.

I'd come here again - Rating 4/5

There was no fuss although I arrived rather later than I'd intended. Everything worked ok, the owner was friendly, and the breakfast was good and set me up for the day.

Great Stay - Rating 4/5

All good, it's a building older than the Ironbridge and Free Bridge at Jackfield so the doorways can be a little low if you're 6 foot plus. Breakfast was great and cooked to order, great for access to the Ironbridge Gorge, the tile museum is ¼ mile away and the walk along route 45 to Bridgnorth is flat over its 8 mile distance. The Half Moon pub, 10 mins away, is well worth a visit. Some of the local pubs and restaurants weren't open during our mid week stay. Car parking can get tight when Calcutts House is full but then cars weren't thought about when the house was built :)
